Zlate Pivo, Czech for golden beer, is a classic Czech pale lager (Pilsner). Originally introduced to me as an entry in the Skalka family cookbook where Pabst liquid malt extract and bakers yeast were used. FBC’s interpretation of this Czech classic has come a long way from the original Skalka recipe, but stays true to it’s traditions of sharing good beer with good people. Drank in homage to all past Skalka brewers, may you live on through good homebrew.
