Brewed in honor of the late Homer Shoemaker who passed away on 3/14/23. Homer was a loyal lad who was always up for a ride to home depot or a trip to Phil’s BBQ for some beef bones. In keeping with the spirit of Homer’s golden doodle heritage, an an appropriate golden style of beer was chosen to commemorate his full life, a British golden ale. Consisting of British Marris Otter malt as well as pale 2 row malt, this beer has a bright golden hue with a very slight haze thanks to the small addition of malted white wheat. A light dosing of noble hops promote a slight fruitiness that is tempered by earthy/spicy notes. A perfect beer to enjoy pool side with friends and brisket. And remember to pour a little out for our fallen friend, Homer. Prosit!
